Ummmm oops it's been like 2 weeks since I updated. I've had stuff to say really, I've just been way too tired to do anything. How pathetic LOL

I am 8 weeks 4 days along now. I feel really good. Slightly nauseated in the mornings but nothing too bad. I'm exaughsted all the time but not sure if that's just pregnancy or if that's chasing toddler plus school plus pregnancy :) I got to meet the midwife on Wednesday and go on a tour of the birthing center. The center is absolutely beautiful, they have a HUGE tub and a birthing tub that can be set up if the main tub is occupied. They allow laboring and delivery in the tubs and I'm really hoping to spend most of the time there. I know I want the baby born in the water the laboring will just be whatever is comfortable at the moment. Lots of walking and position changing. The midwife herself was wonderful, she answered every question I had and was very sweet. I have my first official prenatal appointment set up for August 1st *next wednesday* at 4. I'll be just over 9 weeks. YAY!

I've already started shopping for the baby's cloth diaper stash with paypal money that I had left over from selling River's diapers. I have 2 dozen preemie prefolds and 2 dozen premium infant prefolds and 1 dozen premium regular prefolds (those are from River). I'm going to wait to get covers until after we find out the sex of the baby in October.

I have a busy week school wise coming up. I have a midterm for mental health on Monday and then Tuesday and Wednesday I have a final each day. Wednesday I start my final class, which is Leadership Development. Thursday afternoon we have the PN Assessment. It's a 3 1/2 hour test 220 question long that we HAVE to pass before we can graduate. Friday is just a regular day as far as I know. I have 2 1/2 weeks left until I graduate. YAY!!!!!!!!!!

For those that call the cell phone, it's been temporarily disconnected because of money issues. Hopefully we can get it turned back on soon. Doug starts work on Wednesday. I got a job as well that's supposed to start on the 6th but due to some scheduling conflicts it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Not a big deal. It won't be long before I'll be able to get an LPN position. I'll enjoy the time while I have it and utilize it to study for the NCLEX.

River is amazing. He was sick for about a week. Turns out he has tonsillitis. He is currently on antibiotics to clear it up. The day before we took him to the doctor he developed a rash all over his body which the doctor said is called a viral exantham. He's had it before but I wanted to make sure it was the same thing. Within 24 hours of starting the antibiotic he was doing much better. He is thinning out so much. I didn't realize but he is becoming so much less baby than he was... *sniff*. And of course along with losing his babyish look he's also developing quite the little temper. Has taken to throwing himself on the floor kicking and flailing around when he doesn't get what he wants. Points and whines for everything. I know alot of it is frustration at the inability to communicate with words. I'm still not sure why he isn't talking more. I'm going to bring it up with the doctor when he goes for his 18 month check up in a few weeks.

My mother came down this week. We drove down to Daytona to see her and Jen (her girlfriend) and they took us out to dinner and bought River a little disney sippie cup. It was nice seeing them but was too short of a visit. Oh well..

Other than that.. I think you are all filled in on the happenings of our life :)

So much for making it through the first trimester unscathed... morning sickness has reared it's ugly head officially. It's no longer just nausea, it's full fledged retching until nothing is left. And if there is nothing to start with. I find something to puke. BLAH... I hate throwing up.

I went yesterday for my appointment at the clinic that I've been going to for my beta draws and ultrasounds. I'll spare you the long bitch fest but I waited for almost 5 hours before they saw me.. yes you heard me right.. 5 hours. I was pissed. Especially when my entire appointment took 30 minutes. I got an ultrasound done and they saw baby right away IN MY UTERUS so I am 100% not having an ectopic pregnancy. They put my due date at 3/5/08 and my LMP puts it at 3/4/08 so it's pretty dead on at the moment :) My beta level from Friday was 2920 :) So everything looks good. They want me to come in Friday for yet another ultrasound but I am not going. They just want me to come in to visualize the heartbeating which is should be by then, but I see no point in going to them when I have a doctor I'm going to see and already have an appointment for 7/30. So there ya have it :) I'm officially pregnant and all that happy stuff. I'll be 6 weeks along tomorrow. WOO HOOO! The doctor told me that will the ultrasound and the LMP dates being so close together they'll just go with my LMP so my due date is set for 3/4/07. Who knows when peanut will actually show up though.

Started back to school Monday. I'm ready to be done. I don't like getting up and going and being bored. Today we didn't even have lecture in one of our classes. We haven't had lecture any day in that class and we've got a midterm on the 16th @@ Should be fun. I've got a final on the 17th in my other class and have an A in the class at the moment. I have 22 days of school left not including days off and weekends. We're very close. I'm ready to be done.

It appears that everything is good to go with the peanut baby :)

I went on Friday for another beta check and another ultrasound. They drew blood, sent it to the lab and did the ultrasound in the interim. They definately see a gestational sac in my uterus, no yolk sac yet but will probably be there Monday. They want me back on Monday for a repeat ultrasound but I don't think I'm going to go. He told me there was no sense in waiting around for the beta results because we know it's not ectopic and with how the numbers were increasing between the first 2 there is little to worry about. YAY! So I think I'm just going to wait to see my doctor on July 30th. I set up an appointment with a doctor that is closer to the house this time. I really don't know if I'll actually GO to this doctor but I want to see him to get the early prenatal care done and then when/if I can find a midwife I like, we'll switch to her. Unless of course I really like the doctor. When I go for my appointment July 30th I'll be 8 weeks along. They won't see you before 8-10 weeks because they said your highest risk of miscarriage is the period before then. My official due date is March 7th :)

School starts back up on Monday. I'll have just over a month to go.. July 16th will be exactly a month left. I'm SO close and SO ready for it be done. 13 months was a LONG time but it went by quickly and I made it!

Doug has his orientation on Thursday for FMU. He's really nervous and excited about it but I know he'll love it once he gets going. He starts class a week from Monday. :) I'm SO proud of him!

River is doing AWESOME. He's starting to talk more. He says Me when ever he wants something (also accompanied by a point... maybe we're getting past the shreiking for everything stage?), he can say kitty cat, he can tell you when he's dirty (when you ask him if he is poopy he puts his finger on his nose and then gets up and goes to the changing table), he can say mama, dada, night night (and when you ask him if he's ready to go night night he'll say it and go walk to his bedroom door). The daycare says he is also saying Please and sometimes thank you but I haven't heard either of those yet. He has figured out how to climb and run and loves to do both. He's learning how to throw a ball (or a cup, toy, fit...) and takes great joy in that as well. He is so smart and continues to amaze me every day. He turns 17 months old on Wednesday. Where the heck has the time gone???

I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July. Ours was most enjoyable. We went to a show but River spazzed out 5 minutes into it so we left and finished watching the works from the car with the music on. He liked it much better then. He didn't go to bed until 10:15 last night and still sleeping now.. poor kiddo was tired. Here are a few pictures :)

I went this morning for the second draw of my beta levels and a follow up ultrasound. With the beta levels we were looking for them to double. At this stage of pregnancy the HcG in your blood should double every 48 hours. My draw Sunday night/Monday Morning was 553 today's draw was...... 1323!She says that's GREAT! That means they are doubling approximately every 43 hours.

Then we did the ultrasound. She still didn't see a gestational sac in my uterus but thought she saw the start of one there. She was able to get a better look at the "atypical formation" on my right ovary and she says it's the size of a gestational sac but there is no yolk sac in it and she can clearly see that it's a hemmorhagic corpus leutus cyst. She says I have another smaller one on my left ovary as well. She would rule out ectopic pregnancy yet but mainly because she hasn't visualized a gestational sac in my uterus yet. She said that she saw what you would expect to see. She wants to me to come back for another draw on Friday morning and another ultrasound. By then my numbers should be well over 2000 and by that amount you should definately be able to see a gestational sac.

Other than that.. things look good. I'm anemic so I've been started on iron supplements and the dreaded prenatals. I'm ready to be done with the every 2 day thing and go to the montly appointments.

So there is a possiblity that this pregnancy might be ectopic.

I woke up yesterday morning about 3am and started puking.. Spent all morning puking on on the toilet ( I know TMI) and by the afternoon I had a 102 fever and pain radiating through my back and my left side so I decided to get checked out. I was severely dehydrated from my wonderful morning so I got 2000ml of fluid and some Zofran (anti-nausea meds) and they did a UA (surprise it came back pregnant) and blood work (Beta HcG levels). My Beta came back at 550. Which is a good number for how far along I am. They did an ultrasound and couldn't find a gestational sac in my uterus but they said it could still be too early. They found some sort of "atypical" formation in my right ovary. They said that it could be some sort of cyst or could be the beginning of a gestational sac (or an ectopic pregnancy). Being as such I have to go back to get HcG levels tested again on Wednesday as well as a repeat ultrasound to make sure the numbers are going up like they should be and to see if they can see anything in my uterus yet.

Meanwhile they sent me home with information on the stomach bug and a Rx for Phenegran for nausea. I'm taking the Phenegran around the clock and feel MUCH better today. Will update on Wednesday.
